ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), invites Tenders to enhance the C3S Energy Service. The requirements are split into two Lots: co-development of online seasonal demonstrators and tools with champion energy users (Lot 1), and maintenance of operational services for the energy sector (Lot 2). For each Lot, ECMWF intends to award a single Framework Agreement for a period of maximum 33 months, which shall be implemented via a single multi-annual Service Contract expected to commence in April 2026. Tenderers are invited to submit their Tenders for either one or both Lots. Note that the expertise required for each Lot strongly differ. In cases where a Tenderer opts to submit Tenders for the two Lots, it is mandatory that each Tender is presented as a separate submission, with its own set of documents, including but not limited to, technical proposals, pricing tables and any required supporting documents. Tenderers must ensure that the submissions for each Lot are independently viable and stand on their own merits.
ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), invites tenders for further development of the Global Production System of CAMS operated at ECMWF, with a specific focus on the greenhouse gases.

ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), invites Tenders for development activities to assess and improve the treatment of the stratosphere in climate reanalyses. This will be achieved by completing developments in the ECMWF Integrated Forecasting System (IFS) and performing assimilation experiments with observations of upper atmospheric temperature and humidity. This work will assess the quality of ERA6 temperature and humidity in the upper atmosphere shortly after production and evaluate a method for correcting model biases in the stratosphere in early periods of future reanalyses using information from the data-rich modern era. To support the validation of these developments, high-quality in-situ observation data records shall be acquired. ECMWF intends to award a single Framework Agreement for a period of maximum 30 months, which shall be implemented via a single Service Contract expected to commence in Q2 2026.
ECMWF, as the European Commission’s entrusted Entity for operating Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) and Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), invites tenders for services related to the web application for interactive visualisation of satellite essential climate variables.
ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), invites tenders for the development and operation of a regional-scale benchmark system that can be used to evaluate the data products from the global CO2MVS monitoring system.
ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), invites Tenders aiming to expand the scope of climate information delivered in the Land and Ocean domains by incorporating products and services for additional Essential Climate Variables (ECVs) split into five distinct Lots, specifically for Sea Surface Salinity (Lot 1), Permafrost (Lot 2), Above-Ground Biomass (Lot 3), Surface Albedo (Lot 4), Leaf Area Index (LAI) and Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation (fAPAR) (Lot 5). The purpose of this Invitation to Tender (ITT) is the provision of operational services aimed at ensuring dependable access to high-quality, consistent, and globally homogeneous satellite climate data products via the Climate Data Store (CDS). The services shall include the following technical activities: (•) Operation and maintenance of processing systems to generate CDR / ICDR datasets (unless these operations are supported by other initiatives). (•) Implementation and/or improvement of operational production chain components as needed to achieve Full Operational Capacity. (•) Provision of access to datasets via the CDS. (•) Quality assurance and validation of the resulting datasets. (•) Provision of supporting documentation that describes the operational algorithms employed in dataset generation, outlines the results of quality assessments, and a user guide to assist users in the appropriate utilisation of the datasets. (•) Maintenance of metadata describing CDR datasets and their associated documentation. (•) Provision of user support services. (•) Contribution to the European State of the Climate, contingent upon the maturity and latency of the ECV data, the upcoming C3S climate dashboard, or an alternative form of support for climate intelligence. For each Lot, ECMWF intends to award a single Framework Agreement for a period of 30 months, which shall be implemented via a single Service Contract (unless multiple Lots are awarded to the same Tenderer) expected to commence in January 2026. Tenderers are invited to submit their Tenders for any one of the Lots, or any combination of multiple Lots (with each submission to be done separately). Participation in multiple Lots in a non-lead capacity (e.g. as a subcontractor or supporting entity) is also permitted. The evaluation of bids will be conducted per Lot.
ECMWF as the European Commission’s entrusted Entity for operating Copernicus Climate Change Service and Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service, invites tenders to work with the ECMWF to : 1) Provide technical support for the operational management of the Data Stores Service (DSS) platform assuring its reliability and correct functioning. 2) Enhance the Data Stores Service (DSS) platform collaborating in the design, development, and implementation of software components.
ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), invites tenders to develop an advanced LLM-based search and discovery service, to enhance user access to climate and environmental data from the C3S Climate Data Store (CDS). The service will enable natural language querying, intelligent data summarisation, and personalised recommendations to support a broader and more diverse user base, including non-experts. It will integrate with existing systems like the CDS Virtual Assistant (“Knowledge Duck”) and explore the use of generative AI for automated quality assessments of datasets.
ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), entered into a contract for providing gridded distributions of anthropogenic (global and Europe) and natural emissions (global only) for reactive gases, aerosols and greenhouse gases in direct support of CAMS production chains, with target resolutions of 25 km (natural emissions), 10 km (global) and 5 km (Europe).
ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), entered into a contract for providing quantitative estimates of methane emissions from large point sources around the world based on satellite data from the Copernicus Contributing Missions (CCM) programme.

ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), entered into a contract for activities to support climate reanalysis by extending the coverage and quality of input data from the data-sparse past, as well as supporting the integration of this new data in the ECMWF Integrated Forecasting System (IFS).
ECMWF, as one of the Entrusted Entities for the Destination Earth (DestinE) initiative, invited Tenders for the provision of services aimed at the implementation of DestinE pilot services or ML-based demonstrators for selected impact sectors. The requirements are split into two Lots: (Lot 1) Impact Sector Pilot Services, comprising six sub-lots (i.e. impact sectors), and (Lot 2) Machine-Learning Demonstrators. ECMWF awarded nine contracts in total, covering a range of impact sectors, with six contracts under Lot 1, and three contracts under Lot 2.
