Within the scope of the MOONRISE-FM project, the service to transport a payload developed by the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH) in cooperation with the Technical University of Berlin (TUB) - in this case an instrument for verifying mobile selective laser melting (M-SLM) of lunar dust (regolith) - to the lunar surface (lunar flight) is to be awarded. The provision and operation of the necessary technical infrastructure for conducting experiments with the payload on the Moon (e.g. the landing unit) as well as the transmission of the control commands and the obtained experimental data including the images of the lunar surface and the melted structures by the contractor (CO, here: Moon transport service provider) to the customer (CU, here: LZH) via a data link Moon-Earth has to be guaranteed. The transport to the Moon also includes all activities required in advance on Earth for the integration of the payload into the landing unit and the verification tests at system level (landing unit with integrated payload).
